Instructors
Carly Eagles
Carly is a Body Harmonics Certified Mat and Reformer Pilates instructor and the founder and lead instructor at Peterborough Pilates.
Carly’s passion for movement started when she was in university, turning to movement as an outlet to cope with stress and anxiety. She discovered her love of yoga shortly after graduating and took her yoga teacher training in 2012. Many years and careers later, all the while teaching yoga on the side, she found Pilates and life was never quite the same. The practice of Pilates combined the mindful movement that she loved about yoga, with a system of movement that just made her body feel so good! Trained by Body Harmonics in Mat and Reformer Pilates, Carly brings a comprehensive knowledge of Pilates and body mechanics.
Her classes have an emphasis on the balance between effort and ease, helping you to leave feeling your best. You can expect a focus on quality of movement, mobility, stability, challenge and of course fun! Her lighthearted style and sense of humour infuse all of her movement classes.

Inspired by years of dedicated practice, Deb became an instructor to share her love of Pilates with others. Her classes emphasize strength, balance, and active aging, helping clients build confidence, resilience, and ease in their bodies.
FAQs

Pilates is a full body movement methodology that has a focus on strength, stability, mobility, balance, control, alignment and breath. Through low impact movements, sometimes with the aide of apparatus such as the reformer, exercises help you to achieve a greater sense of ease in your daily life by improving your movement patterns and strengthening your core muscles.

What People Are Saying
“Carly has been my Pilates instructor for about two years and I have so much to say about her and my experience as her client. I'll start with her approach. Carly teaches her classes in a warm, welcoming and inclusive way. It doesn't matter if you are experienced, or if it is your first class, you know you are in good hands with her. Carly is attentive to client form and pacing. She is also really funny in her quiet unassuming way. Her classes are so enjoyable.
Carly is very committed to new and best Pilates practice. She is continually taking courses to improve her knowledge and it shows as her classes are always interesting, fun, and varied.
Finally, I want to mention results. I started coming to Carly's classes because of a debilitating back injury. Because of the time she has spent with me, I have regained full mobility in my spine and hips. My posture vastly improved and my core strength is the best it's been in my life (I'm in my forties). I cannot say enough about the difference Carly and her classes have made. I recommend her Pilates studio and classes wholeheartedly.”— Dee M

A very welcoming instructor, I feel stronger after every class.” - Kate P
